Superwind 1250 Wind Generator

Superwind Micro Wind Turbines for Off-Grid use.

The Superwind 1250 has a full stop brake system – more than just a short circuit magnetic brake that allows the turbine to spin in high winds. What this means for our marine authority and telecommunication customers is that no matter the wind conditions, their technicians can bring the turbine to a complete stop, allowing tower climbers & technicians to safely work near the turbine at any time they need to.

In meeting the new US Commercial Utility Standard of 2013, the superwind 1250 is available in 48V as well as 24V – also known as '28.8V

It is designed specifically to operate in Off-Grid sites.

The SW1250 turbine, like its smaller SW350 cousin, is also extremely quiet! We utilize the best balance procedures, the highest quality components and turbulator technology on our airfoils to keep vibration and noise to a minimum.

Integration of the Superwind 1250 into new or existing systems is not at all difficult. In fact, our recommended installation method always features PWM dump-load resistor systems to not only insure your batteries are being charged fully and properly, but also to protect your battery bank from harm – even in multi charging source projects. Our easy to read manual can explain in more detail – click here for SW1250 Installation Manual.

The 1250 features the STAR (Synchronous-Technology-Autonomous-Rotor) Hub System TM. for even better performance and the durability when used in extremely harsh conditions. The New STAR hub TM. synchronises the Superwind blades, so that all blades move in harmony together. This is critical in very extreme conditions where wind speeds often in excess of 100 mph, change with gusts and downdraughts. These conditions can affect pressures on each individual blade. When one blade is not doing the same as the others, the turbine becomes unbalanced and catastrophic damage can result to the turbine.
